Emeris consolidates resources and expertise from IIE Varsity College, IIE MSA, IIE-Vega School, and IIE School of Hospitality & Service Management, with a unified approach ensuring a consistent standard of excellence in teaching, learning, and student support.
We are looking to appoint Administrative Assistant - IC Payroll X2These positions will be based at Emeris, Waterfall (Midrand) National Office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Administration of Independent Contractors and Sessional Worker Payroll
- Responsible for Audit the support documents from Independent Contractor are correct and meets audit standards. Ensures that the relevant payroll forms are uploaded in Teams folder for each Independent Contractor
- Responsible for Audits of accurate data in HR System (Personal Info, Independent Contractor Agreement details etc.)
- Responsible for requesting org positions for the campus for HR System engagement
- Follow up on Foreign National Expiring Visa and Passports on a monthly basis
Payroll Query Resolution & Site Support
- Ensures that claiming deadlines are communicated to Campuses on a monthly basis
- Investigate and assist Campuses People and Culture Consultant on the correction report for HR System and consolidate corrections and submit to Group Payroll
- Responsible of check all Interim run, P9b and adjustments documents are completed correctly before we submit to Group Payroll
- Responsible for assisting Campuses Independent Contractors payment queries and escalating these to the Team Lead if required.
Monthly Reports Audits
- Analyse Payroll report and notify People and Culture Consultant of Non- Academic claims and assist with any queries regarding HR System.
- Analyse reports in HR System and advise People and Culture Consultant, assist with and follow up on queries
- Analyse the Master Data report and follow up with the People and Culture Consultant to amend accordingly
- Analyse bank details and tax method reports and notify Campuses accordingly
Ad Hoc
- Assist with payroll audits by providing accurate records and supporting documentation as required by internal and external Audit teams
- Assist with National payroll projects as required by the Team Lead
- Supports the Campuses with Independent Contractor and Sessional Worker payroll processing if the People and Culture Consultant is sick or resigned.

Minimum Qualification:
- Certificate/Diploma in Office, Business and or Payroll/HR Administration
Minimum Work Experience Requirement:
- 1–2 years of experience in payroll, HR, or general administrative support.
- Experience with payroll systems, and/or managing employee/contractor records is an advantage.
- Exposure to payroll processes would be ideal.
