Emeris consolidates resources and expertise from IIE Varsity College, IIE MSA, IIE-Vega School, and IIE School of Hospitality & Service Management, with a unified approach ensuring a consistent standard of excellence in teaching, learning, and student support.

Emeris Durban North has a vacancy for a part-time lecturer for the following module:
  • Supply Chain Management

Key Performance Areas :
  • Preparation, conducting of lectures, tutorials and workshops;
  • Providing study guidance, learning support, consultation and mentoring of students;
  • Initiation and development of module materials, including online and web-based materials;
  • Marking and grading of student assessments;
  • A range of administrative functions connected to the discipline and modules being taught;

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Ideal: 

Honours in Supply Chain or Logistics Management.

  • Alternatively:
  • Honours in one of the Business-related fields (e.g. operations, supply chain or logistic management) – with Supply Chain Management to the third-year level
  • Bachelor’s degree with Supply Chain Management or a similarly related field (e.g. operations, supply chain or logistic management) – with Supply Chain Management to the third-year level PLUS either an MBA\MBL or a postgraduate diploma in business.

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:
  • Lecturing experience in Supply Chain Management/ Integrated Logistics Management/ risk/ supply chain / retail management/ operations management
  • Work experience as a logistics manager/ supply chain manager/ project manager/ risk manager/ retail management.

Working Conditions: 
  • Please note that this is an Independent Contractor role
  • Positions are part-time, with lectures taking place between 08:00 and 17:00.
  • Must reside in Durban (All classes take place on Campus)
  • Applicants must be available to lecture for 2 -3 days (business hours) within a week for the duration of the semester.
