Direct Reporting Line:
Head of Sales

Emeris consolidates resources and expertise from IIE Varsity College, IIE MSA, IIE-Vega School, and IIE School of Hospitality & Service Management, with a unified approach ensuring a consistent standard of excellence in teaching, learning, and student support.

Emeris, Westville Campus has a vacancy for a Head: Student Recruitment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Presentations 

  • Achieve monthly booking and presentation targets as per set schools priority targets and final year undergraduate students for postgraduate studies.

  • Provide a weekly report on schools to manage the sales team by priority and owner (Student Advisor) for presentations completed, booked, contacted and uncontacted.

  • Provide a weekly report on each sales team member’s achievement against the weekly presentation target.

  • Conduct individual weekly meetings with the sales team to address performance and implement corrective action where appropriate.

Database Collection 

  • Achieve monthly schools database collection targets as per set schools priority targets.

  • Achieve final year undergraduate database collection targets.

  • Provide a weekly report on each sales team member’s achievement against the weekly database collection target.

  • Conduct individual weekly meetings with the sales team to address performance and implement corrective action where appropriate.

Interviews 

  • Achieve weekly, monthly and annual campus interview targets.

  • Provide a weekly updated breakdown of campus interview counts by priority for campus Student Advisors.

  • Provide a weekly report on each sales team member’s achievement against the weekly interview target.

  • Conduct individual weekly meetings with the sales team to address performance and implement corrective action where appropriate.

Applications 

  • Achieve weekly, monthly and annual campus application targets.

  • Provide a weekly updated breakdown of campus application counts by priority for campus Student Advisors.

  • Provide a weekly report on each sales team member’s achievement against the weekly application target.

  • Conduct individual weekly meetings with the sales team to address performance and implement corrective action where appropriate.

Admissions 

  • Oversee the admissions funnel with each staff member to ensure that sales activities support students progressing to offer status, including securing all necessary correctly certified documentation.

  • Drive the payment of pre-registration fees upon acceptance with the sales team.

  • Work closely with admissions to ensure offers are issued and admissions are approved accurately and timeously.

Registration

  • Achieve new undergraduate and postgraduate student registration campus targets.

Quality Sales Management

  • Train new sales staff on presentation and interview scripts, product knowledge, STASY and all sales processes to ensure readiness for national sign-off.

  • Provide ongoing training and development of the sales team to prevent unnecessary progression through the Sales Tracking process.

  • Foster team relations and build trust within the team.

  • Communicate effectively to improve motivation within the sales team.

  • Take ownership of the sales process including tactical planning, strategic orientation and capacity planning.

  • Ensure data integrity across all reporting platforms to meet quarterly targeted benchmarks set by the National Office.

  • Ensure timely submission of sales-related reports on a weekly basis.

Customer Service

  • Conduct regular school relationship check-ins to ensure the sales team delivers the required level of customer service.

  • Monitor the sales team’s service delivery to ensure adherence to required response turnaround times and professionalism in all customer interactions.

  • Review mystery shopper results and implement corrective actions where required to ensure sales teams meet the required standards.

Minimum Qualification Requirement:
  • Advanced Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or Communication field.
Minimum Work Experience Requirement:
  • Sales and Marketing experience – 5 years

  • Management experience – 4 years
