Emeris Pietermaritzburg Campus has a vacancy for a Part time Lecturer within the School of Computer Science in the following module for the 2026 Academic year:

• Principles of Security (PRSE6212)

Key Performance Areas :

• Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent Presentation Skills
• Assertiveness and dynamism
• Understanding of customer service in education
• Demonstrate an ability to manage work and self proactively.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

• Honours degree in Information Systems/Computer Science/IT Management/Computing/Network Security/ Information Security. 

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

• Lecturing experience in network design, network infrastructure or network architecture.
• Work experience as a systems engineering, network manager or infrastructure manager. 

Working Conditions: 

• Please note that this is a Part-time role with lectures taking place between 08:00 and 17:00.
  
• Preference will be given to South African Citizens and Permanent Residents of South Africa in possession of proof of permanent resident status.
